The Science of Smooth Shading
Not all Black & Grey tattoos are created equal. Many fade into a “muddy” wash. At Inknation NYC, we use a specific approach:
Precision Value Control: Perfect transitions from deep black to skin tone.
Opaque Greys: We use opaque inks for a 3D velvety texture.
Healed Results: We design with “breathing room” so ink doesn’t spread over time.
