Guide with the basic aspects to tattoo the Neo Oriental style.

Listen to this podcast on:

The Neo Oriental tattoo represents a mixture of styles that focuses on creating highly detailed designs with a high level of sophistication and color. That’s why this has become one of the most sought after styles.

With years of experience and being a professional resident artist at Inknation Studio, Emersson Pabon shares with Darwin Enríquez the main characteristics that a Neo Oriental tattoo should have.

The main thing is to start the design by drawing the lines of it. This is a fundamental aspect since it’s a hallmark of this style and will generate a visual impact.

On the other hand, the shadows play a fundamental role since they allow depth, warmth and harmony to the design. This should be the second step you need to focus on when getting your tattoo done.

Finally, the application of color is one of the most important features. This will not only bring the tattoo to life, but depending on the colors used, it will be able to represent the neo-oriental style with dignity.

These three characteristics are the most prominent and the ones you should focus on when creating a Neo Oriental style worthy of a professional.

Skull Tattoo Meaning and Designs
Skull tattoos have different meanings and symbolism. Although the popular meaning can be death, evil and decay, there are others who simply like it due to their aesthetic appeal. Skulls tattoo designs can vary from Sugar Skulls, to Skulls and roses, to human skulls to Grim Reaper tattoos. A lot of clients ask about Skull tattoos, however with the proper elements and designs the skull can portray different meanings. For example, Skulls with a Grim Reaper may portray death, however Skulls with a clock can portray time. When designing a Skull tattoo, I use a 3D program to position the skull in a way that fits well with the area that you choose to be tattooed. This 3D program provides an accurate and detailed result.

Come in with your Skull design in mind, or feel free to come in and look at my various skulls designs. Let’s work on it together and create a perfect tattoo that you’d love.
