Camilo Tuero

Camilo Tuero, born and raised in Lima, Peru, was part of a family of artists. He had his first encounter with tattoos at the age of 15 and a year later, he moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina to live with his brother who worked as a graphic designer. In Buenos Aires, he had the opportunity to immerse himself in the world of tattoos, working in several studios and learning from various artists to develop his own technique.

Camilo’s tattooing technique is unique, as he pays close attention to the hand movement, pressure, and ink injection to achieve specific results in the tattoo. He understands that tattoos are a complex form of art as it requires not only focus on the design and details but also considering the skin, the canvas, which can vary in its delicacy.

His hard work and dedication paid off as he won several prizes in conventions across South America. He also conducted workshops to teach his methods and techniques to other colleagues in these countries. In 2011, he moved to Brazil to continue his artistic growth and opened his own studio, Monsters House Tattoo, in Sao Paulo a year later.

In Brazil, Camilo’s talent was recognized by the media and celebrities, and he was invited to many TV shows, press, and magazine interviews. He also tattooed many artists and models from the country. His talent and charisma made an impact in Brazil. In 2023, Camilo was invited by his good friends and colleagues Zhimpa and Darwin to join the team of resident artists at Inknation Studio NYC, where the team is excited to have such an amazing artist in our family.
